Dan has fished the Clearwater for over a decade and has a remarkable ability when it comes to catching steelhead. There are few people out on the water that have the skill set that Dan possesses. A bit about dan...

I grew up in western Pennsylvania near some of the states best trout fishing. My family and I spent lots of time walking the banks of some of Pennsylvania's most fabled waters. I must admit some of the best days ever. As a young adult I moved to Utah to ski the beautiful Rockie Mountains. It did not take long after the snow started melting for me to trade in my ski poles for a fly rod. This is where I stared my guiding carrier in 1998. Utah has some of the best trout fishing in the country.

Unfortunately there are no Steelhead in Utah. Fishing for steelhead became a passion of mine in the late 1990's. I have been privileged enough to have fished with some incredible steelheaders. I have all of them to thank for showing me the ropes. After fishing all over the Pacific North West I kept coming back to the Clearwater River to get my hands on one of those giant B run steelies. I was fortunate enough to land a guiding job with Clearwater River Company 2011. Since then my passion for steelheading has done nothing but grow. There is no better feeling than helping someone catch one of these giants.
